Flavor Description
Kirinyaga AA-grade beans are celebrated for their "berry sensation." Compared to Nyeri's sharp acidity, this bean presents fuller blackberry and blueberry jam flavors, with hibiscus and faint rose notes in the mid-palate, rounded acidity, and excellent sweetness-acidity balance.
Brewing Notes
- Pour-over: Medium-fine grind, water temperature 90–91°C, ratio 1:16. A gentler temperature draws out the multi-layered berry sweetness without making the acidity too stimulating.
- Palate tip: As it cools, the blackcurrant character transforms into a grape-juice-like clean sweetness.
