Kirinyaga beans typically have a "softer" elegance compared to Nyeri. This AB-grade bean carries prominent cranberry and blackberry flavors, accompanied by faint hibiscus florals; the acidity is lively but not sharp, and the finish has a honey-like smoothness.
Brewing Notes
- Pour-over: Medium grind, water temperature 91°C, ratio 1:16. A larger ratio allows the delicate floral-fruit aromas to disperse more evenly.
- Highlight: Excellent as iced pour-over; as it cools, the berry character transforms into a juice-like sweet-tartness.
