FruityBerryWiney
Flavor Description
This Dien Bien natural lot challenges stereotypes of Vietnamese Arabica. Expect distinct blackcurrant and purple berry notes, followed by subtle red wine fermentation. As it cools, caramelized sweetness and hints of vanilla become more pronounced.
Origin Story
Remote and historically slower to develop, Dien Bien has preserved pristine growing environments. Local farmers have recently experimented with extended sun-drying periods, successfully developing a dark-fruit flavor profile.
Brewing Notes
- Pour-over: 91°C water. A wider ratio (1:15.5) allows the dense winey aromatics to open up without becoming too heavy.
- Tip: Flavor complexity is remarkably close to high-altitude specialty lots from Yunnan or Thailand.
