Flavor Description

Kent is one of the most historically important varieties in Indian coffee. This washed Coorg lot shows nutmeg, walnut, dark cocoa, and caramel, with low acidity and a full but not muddy body. As it cools, hints of orange peel and cedar-like dry aromatics begin to appear, creating a distinctly old-school Indian profile.

Variety Significance

If S795 represents the balance of modern Indian specialty coffee, Kent is a direct path into India’s roots. It carries more obvious spice and darker sweetness, expressing origin character in a very complete way.

Brewing Notes

  • Pour-over: 90–91°C water, ratio 1:15
  • Tip: A slightly stronger extraction works well here, concentrating the cocoa and spice structure
