Sidamo is a vast region, and G2 washed is a regional blend of many smallholder lots. Orange and a light floral note open the cup, moving into black tea and brown-sugar sweetness, with a touch of milk chocolate in the finish. Gentler acidity than Yirgacheffe makes it friendlier for newcomers to lighter roasts.
Buying Tips
Style: Compared with Yirgacheffe, the florals are more restrained while sweetness, balance, and softer acidity come forward
Roast: Medium roasts bring out the most sweetness; it is also a common base for Ethiopian house blends
