A regional blend of many smallholder lots. The florals are less pronounced than in a G1, but lemon, citrus peel, and black-tea clarity remain, with a light cane-sugar sweetness in the finish. Clean and consistent — a textbook washed Ethiopian.
Buying Tips
Grade: G2 allows slightly more defects per 300 g of green coffee than G1; the florals are usually a little softer, but the regional character remains clear
Freshness: New-crop arrivals land around April–June; lots from summer through autumn taste best
Brewing Notes
Pour-over: Medium-fine grind, 91–92°C, ratio 1:15
Iced: The florals and citrus hold up well when chilled — great for Japanese-style iced pour-over
