Flavor Description

High-altitude Anis lots often deliver an intensely concentrated small-bean expression. This coffee opens with purple grape, blackberry, dried rose, and clove, then moves into concentrated grape juice, cocoa nibs, and cane-sugar sweetness. The finish lingers like an overlap between red wine and floral nectar.

Style Positioning

It is brighter than a traditional Mattari, yet weightier than the most floral Hayma-style lots. This middle ground between "classic Mocha" and "modern high-altitude Yemen" is a strong representation of what specialty buyers now seek from Yemeni landraces.

Brewing Notes

  • Pour-over: 91–92°C water, ratio 1:15.5
  • Tip: Slightly increase agitation early in the brew to open up the floral and berry acidity
